Wood and Light Creates a Wonderful Interior

The combination of wood, natural light in abundance, and space will always create a wonderful atmosphere in your home. Of course, you must also look at bringing in the correct colors to further enhance the way in which the light bounces across the room thanks to the lightness creating a sense of an even larger space.

Within this home, you will see that there has been a clever use of the natural brick wall to add a sense of balance to the rough wooden beams and posts that are a focal point. The brick also provides the perfect backdrop and the contrast in color with the white and gray that is predominant does help everything else to stand out.
Furthermore, the position of the sofa is such that you are able to take in the full scope of the light, which is required considering the position of the windows. The high ceiling, due to the upper mezzanine floor, also adds to that spacious feeling that is clearly all important in the design.
This home is all about flow, from the lounge area through to the kitchen and spacious bedroom with a large window and primarily white furniture to provide a sense of calmness that transcends each room in its own way. The key to all of this is simplicity, but the simple things need to be done well and to a high standard. Everything has its place to provide a real sense of order as order in the Scandinavian sense is a major element, of which this is a prime example.
The thing to learn from this interior is the fact that you do not have to put too many items into a room, and that there is a need to make full use of those natural elements that can provide so much. However, you need to balance things, hence keeping the brick wall along with the wood. By doing so, you create a space that is serene and peaceful, which is perfect for most people, and as you can see it does not have to take too much to achieve the perfect room.

This space has great hygge. I love how the natural materials create a warm contrast against the monochromatic black and white home decor they have chosen.
