Helsinki-based interior decorator Laura Seppanen, creator of stunning interiors for public spaces and private homes, set design and prop styling assistant for movie productions/ commercials, is stylist of this irresistible home. The small space yields a spacious look with modern and timeless pieces complementing each item, and with all things in its right place.
A long and huge black couch stands out in the white-walled living room, centering a white glass-top table that matches the flooring. The beauty of wood graces the space with an exquisitely crafted cabinet and round chair that’s set atop similarly hued curvy floor cover. The ladder turned into bookshelf makes a distinction in the space brightened by sunlight passing through the window.
An antique wooden chair with quilted cushion graces a vintage look that enhances the whiteness of the surroundings.
In the dining room, two white shelves alongside the finely made cabinet hold various collections in ornate and delicate, little stylish pieces matching the vintage appliances right below. It’s perfectly placed in between rustic furniture and the bright window, from where soft natural light enters and gently touches the room. The dining table looks very warm and inviting with a lively patterned rug, Eames white chairs tucked in the sun-kissed wooden furniture.
The same simple contemporary lamp bearing three bulbs facing opposite directions is set atop the living and dining areas. Simple yet striking artwork framed in white are hung in different perfect spots while large glass vases bring an elegant ambiance. Nature’s elements give added life with small growths of leaves placed on white vases seen across surfaces. A coat hanger with shelves on top carries bags and accessories in a lovely fashion. Books and frames and gold decor accents create a very attractive presentation.
The food preparation area is built with sophisticated glossy countertops in black, set upon white kitchen cabinetry. Bottles and jars of condiments are neatly arranged on the counter. Pots, accessories, a silver bell and varied ingredients cling in style onto a rod that’s securely fitted against the white-tiled backdrop.
You can’t help but fall in love with the charming bedroom setting! The single bed with white framework is laden with frilled white sheets and a patterned pillow. A vintage desk coupled with an elaborately made wooden chair is situated in front of the window and right beside the bed. Hanging from the ceiling is a beautiful chandelier with tiny glasses and white candles. On the floor is a wide dark-toned patterned rug covering the white flooring.
