DeForest Architects transformed this existing lakeside residence from a house full of heavy stone and beams into a light-filled place for enjoying art, food and family.
The homeowner, who relaxes by cooking multi-course meals for friends, wanted a kitchen to be a focus second only to the artwork in the home.
The stairs received a Grand Award form Residential Architect and aCitation form the Washington AIA Honor Awards.
