Real estate is one of the, if not the, most fastest growing industries in the world. But what does it really entail? Is it about evolving with the time and creating experiences that make living easier in every way? While some might agree that it is, there are a few people that look for more than just a futuristic home where things can be done with a push of a button, or through voice commands. These are the people who appreciate the heritage and simplicity of a home that has history to it – a story to share. Finding these homes are far more difficult that you would think, but Jennifer Laskey and Hunter Hall’s vintage home gives us a close look at exactly what we would be missing in a modern house.
Originality Like No Other
Finding a home is Los Angeles is hard enough, leave alone looking for that reflects the historic past of the city. Jenn and Hunter couldn’t have been happier when they got their 1,300 square foot house. It is one of the few (I can’t stress “few” strong enough) houses with all is original architecture intact. From the patio to the rustic bedrooms, the home screams ORIGINAL. From the minute you walk in through the front door, you can feel the history of the house – something you wouldn’t get in a apartment building or a condominium. The colors, textures, and designs all come together in a way that brings about nothing but harmony.
Subtle Changes To Reach Perfection
As with any home, time plays an important role in the aesthetics of both the interiors as well as its exteriors. Jenn and Hunter have ensured that nothing stops them from having the best home they could possible have. While some of the original tiling and paintwork is, till today, the highlights of the beautifully rustic abode, Jenn and Hunter had to retouch a few areas in and around the home. A few refurbished tiles and a colorful paint job later, the home was back to doing what it was initially made for – bringing a warmth to the hearts of its residents. 
The original and authentic furniture is another standout feature of the home. It brings a certain kind of history back to life and gives people a peek into Los Angeles’ rich past. From the front door, the tables, the patio chairs, the dressing tables, the beds, the chandeliers above the beds, the cupboards, and everything in between, this house is all about flaunting one things and one thing alone – LA’s history.
