Modern Dramatic Studio Apartment
If it is possible at all to take space age style and make it look comfortable, chic, and sophisticated, this home has accomplished it. Words are hard to describe the décor of this high-tech designed modernized living space by MNdesign. It’s more akin to a space capsule than the traditional home. But it works! The space is well designed and used in a practical way. The colors are dark but electric.
The décor of this home is interesting but not distracting. It catches the eye in an inquisitive way. For example, the white chairs remind one of a ball of twine meticulously structured into comfortable seating. The kitchen counter top is midnight black, constructed from natural stone and enforces the already strong presence of the dark stone-tiled floor, naturally grained wood, deep-black lacquered table, and medium-grey sofa.
The compact design of this apartment makes it seem as if everything is hidden away. However, it’s not really the case. The flat-screen TV is conveniently encased in the wall the same as the oven, and the microwave. The recessed lighting is quite apparent as well, and whatever is needed is easily accessible.
Interestingly, the sleeping area appears quite comfortable. Though situated between solid spaces, there’s an opening that allows a nice view of the living space, and plenty of windows to enjoy the view, let in natural light, or simply block the outside and enjoy the comforts of home. Interestingly enough, this apartment does have a deep sense of comfort about it. The sofa looks inviting, comfy, and warm, and so does the shiny metal chair that is softened with a cushion for comfortable sitting.
A snuggled bookcase above the bed fits perfectly. It’s part of the practical design of the entire layout of the space. Not only that, the color makes the bookcase seem somewhat like a headboard for the bed more than a place to put books, knickknacks, and other unique objects.
In many respects, the living space reminds one of a dugout. It’s isolated in its own beauty, quietly existing without a sound. Calm and pristine but totally welcoming. Secretive but open, hidden but easy to find. It’s a very ambiguous space that can take the mind in many directions. Nevertheless, none of this takes away from its distinctiveness.
It takes a certain type to live in such an arrangement. Perhaps a mild mannered single individual, or a person who works long hours and looks forward to coming home to their grotto, or perhaps the space is owned by a large corporation and is used for business travelers. Whatever the living space is used for, it’s sure to be an experience out of this world for all who have the opportunity to enjoy it!
