Dinder House in Somerset
Unique house by the London designer Studio Ilse. Dinder House, a historic Georgian building in Somerset, England, is like a child’s drawing of a house: three stories high, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slate roof. Completed in 1801 for the Rev. William Somerville (think Jane Austen), it sits on 23 acres of landscaped and walled gardens, in a valley with a Constable-worthy view of the church spire in the village after which it is named. Studioilse create brands, buildings, furniture and products that are a frame for life. the portfolio includes the design of award winning brands: mathias dahlgren restaurant, the inn brand, cecconi’s, soho house new york and cowshed.
studioilse has a whole vision, creating a 360° experience. our approach is a combination of empirical and humanistic. we start with the context, the site, the client plus the social and economic realities, we then address human needs. studioilse has a definitive approach to creating charismatic, long lasting and profitable brands through design.
