Isabel Lopez-Quesada’s beautifully renovated old farm in n the French countryside, near Biarritz, boasts high ceilings, crisp white walls and wide open spaces which are perfect for entertaining guests. From the outside, the house, which offers free levels of living space, offers a variety of charming features such as barn style windows, picturesque balconies, large wooden doors and exposed brick work, the latter of which visible on the corners of the property.
The main lounge, feels light and airy as it’s decorated in neutral tones such as beige, brown and white. However in tying in with the rest of the house the lounge boasts a few blue accents such as a velvet royal blue chaise and a light blue couch, which add a bit of color to the room. I fall in love with the lounge’s exposed wooden floorboards, which give the living space a rustic charm.
However the lounge’s signature feature has to be it’s beautiful, railless, double staircase, which winds it way up to the second storey interior balcony, which boasts a bird’s eye view of the entire lounge.
Another highlight of the house is the kitchen which, features beautiful exposed stone work, which has been painted white as well as an oversized, country style kitchen island. Where guests can sit and chat with their host, whilst dinner is being prepared. The kitchen also boasts a variety of top of the line, modern appliances such as a large, family sized stainless steel oven. The bathrooms are also full of interesting features such as stone tiles. As another example, one bathroom boasts a particularly bold mirror which is decorated with bright red coral and shells. Whilst in some of the other bathrooms, you’ll find minimalistic, antique style porcelain sinks which have been given a modern twist as they feature modern metal legs. Another bathroom feature which draws visitors’ attention are the natural wood beams which have been placed alongside one of the property’s baths.
The bedrooms are also beautifully decorated in a country chic style and feature white walls, solid antique style, wooden furniture, such a pale eggshell blue table and eye catching headboards which have been crafted from a variety of beautiful fabrics.
Lopez-Quesada’s home also offers a great indoor, outdoor flow and boasts an attractive outdoor area which is furnished with plush day beds and couches and features large ornate, hanging lanterns and brightly colored pot plants. As a bonus, the house also boasts a spacious infinity pool which overlooks a lush picturesque valley.

The shell mirror in the bedroom is adorable.
The railless, double staircase, which winds it’s way up to the second story interior balcony, which boasts a bird’s eye view of the entire lounge is amazing.
