One look at this house, and you’ll realize that living in a dream and putting it to life is possible. It’s perfectly situated on the Italian Riviera in the middle of San Remo and Bordighera. Lover of the sea or not, the adventurous setting of this Italian coast home amidst a Mediterranean backdrop and it’s majestic interiors will ignite the seafarer’s spirit.
The small beach retreat has the prowess of inspiring dreams and sea fantasies with spirit Robinson promoting its overall nautical ambiance. The place presents elegance and class with its pristine white beauty amidst idyllic views, yet remains a practical and functional home that’s comfortable wherever you settle into. Who would have known that it was a cabin in pretty bad condition that it didn’t even have a toilet in the first place? Architects Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet are responsible for huge undertaking of a dramatic transformation into a pleasing interior space with all modern amenities while optimizing the space and volume.

Now, three rooms each measuring 10 square-meters and a terrace with a 3 square-meter area defines this home that belongs to an artist. The color, accents, decors, materials, furniture, and everything else complements the entire theme down to the last detail. White is prominent throughout the cabin, and has been carefully chosen by the designers for the whiteness enhances natural light and blends perfectly with nature’s colors enveloping the breathtaking coastline.

All windows framed in white appear as if they are works of art, much like paintings hung on the wall rather than that typical part of a house. It open up not to an outdoor view, but to breathe in the sea spirit and savor its magnificence! In the terrace, a piano is built within the walls, where ornate trinkets and figurines decorate the top part, while a bunch of flowers give life to the setting. The kitchen exhibits class like no other with brass sink and stove components, even the cutlery, matching the lovely white cupboards, cabinets, drawers and countertops laden with Carra marble. Custom made beds lie in the bedrooms, where a vessel wall stands out in the second one.

Exquisite materials have been used with every corner and nook paid attention to. Marine lacquered wood comprises the inner lining, while other craftsmanship includes custom made carpentry arriving in stained oak, brass fittings, lamps, antique mirrors, hanging chairs, cotton textiles in the rooms and dorms. Every piece has been particularly designed to be put to good use and serve as storage areas. The stairs are incorporated with drawers while the platform set on the second bedroom is actually a mini dressing room as well. Even the roof of the house has become a relaxing spot with a nice and cozy intricate swing to sit on.

  1. Why would someone put a piano where it will be ruined? Surely, it’s not just ornamental. I can think of many pretty things to put there instead. Pretty house, but that piano makes no sense.
