House Artfully Decorated With Flea Market Finds

Sabrina Labrousse’s house near La rochelle has given new life to salvaged finds. Anything seems possible in Sabrina Labrousse’s home, where lampshades are made from plastic funnels, tables are fashioned from reclaimed windows and sinks are created from salvaged zinc buckets.

Living room

A polished concrete wall quickly establishes this room’s industrial credentials, while modern canvases add glamour. The paper origami chandelier is one of Sabrina’s own designs.

Dining room

Raw materials such as wood, metal and polished concrete complement the many salvaged pieces here. Nina’s own design table is made from a window that once graced a nearby chateau.

Kitchen

This informal space has been artfully decorated wiyh many flea-market finds.

Office area

Trucked into a corner of the living room, this desk is actually an old cupboard bought at a flea market.

Boy’s bedroom

A chest of drawers in blue and purple stripes tones well with grey walls.

Girl’s bedroom

Sabrina painted the metal bed frame a bright pink to mach the delicate colour scheme.

Garden

The outdoor space was redesigned to include a “soothing area” in which to sit and eat with friends, plus a shed that is an extension of Sabrina’s workshop.

“This house, along with several cups of coffee every morning, inspires me to carry on designing,” says Sabrina.
