You can make your own or buy one. Mason jars are available at virtually any craft store and cost about $1 a piece. Fill them with some sand, colorful paper, streamers, or just paint the exterior orange and brown to go with the rest of your tablescape. Throw the painted mason jars into a planter (similar to your favorite plants) and set it on a window sill or on the front porch to greet guests coming over. Such a great decorating idea! Pinecones are festive for this time of year. If you live in a region where they’re readily available outside, so your foraging. Otherwise, like your leaves, you can go to a craft store and buy fake pinecones. Simply paint them orange (to counterbalance the brown), and handprint everyone’s name on a place setter at the dinner table. You can have the kids get in the mix for them to create place settings for the kids table.
