Minimalist yet warm dtudio located in Chelsea, designed by architect  Rick Joy. Eighteen-inch-wide planks of whitewashed fir form a kind of continuous inner skin that sprouts walls of closets, a bed and a dining table. The bench behind the sofa is made from the same material, and can be pulled over to the dining table to provide more seating (the table seats 10).
