The beauty of OKA’s pieces lies within their versatility, and this is always a key consideration when hand-picking a new collection. People often move and they want their furniture to travel with them. The furniture in their beach house will look equally good in a city just by changing the accessories; here, we’ve used colours of sand, sea and driftwood to reflect the coastal location.
LIVING ROOM
A combination of natural wood furniture and neutral sofas keeps things simple and speak to the coastal location. We particularly love the Marylebone Coffee Table as the centrepiece of the living room with its masses of surface space for storing and displaying your coffee table essentials, and large mirrors surrounding the fireplace are a great idea for instantaneously lifting and lightening the room.
DINING ROOM
A blue striped woollen rug evokes an image of the contrasting sea and sky and is the perfect starting point for a coastal dining room. The striking dining table with its columnar base, together with a mixture of blue and white tableware, creates a majestic dining room in which to linger.
BEDROOM
The coastal colour palette creates an oasis of calm and relaxation, and together with a luxurious faux fur throw and velvet cushion covers, creates a feet-up relaxing experience that is just too good to miss.
BEDROOM
Here the Tuvalu Bed is dressed up with drapes and matching cushion covers to create a lavish bedroom, which we think works well with the natural colour scheme. The Sash Window mirror is cleverly placed above the bed for a lifting and lightening effect and contributes well to the overall theme of the beach house.
