Minimalist Apartment With an Engaging, Laid-Back Temperament

Minimalist Apartment With an Engaging, Laid-Back Temperament

The minimalist style of this home by Artem Trigubchak, is based on a neutral toned scheme. Pure grey, ecru-beige, charcoal, with white highlights is accented with natural materials like wood and stone. Each bit of space is used to perfection without interrupting the flow of movement from one area to another. It’s simple, sophisticated, laidback, cozy, just lusciously easy.

Storage is a very important factor in minimalist designed homes like this one. Many pieces of furniture are used for a variety of purposes. For example, the meticulously placed divider made from stone acts as a table and a neat place to store books. The compact kitchen is practically hidden, though it is out in the open.
A beautiful walnut table demurely carves the space to create a comfortable eating area. High-tech designed chairs uniquely structured with millennium panache also touches base with 1960s flair. Even the dome shaped suspended lamp over the eating table creates a mood of high-class elegance tempered by muted hues.

The light background is complemented by various textures from an authentic fur accent rug to extra long lightly patterned curtains. The curtains drape and surge but remain practical and purposeful. The accent tables can be easily moved from one area to another emphasizing how wonderfully practical this living space is designed. Lights are strategically placed offering just the right amount of illumination for each room. In fact, though the rooms are low-key, they appear airy and bright.

Even the bathroom is designed with basic hues in mind. In addition, the squar-ish structural design adds to the bathroom’s super modern unobtrusive fixtures. Ceiling lights appear both suspended and recessed; a well placed heating rack for towels is perfectly placed near a small storage area, while additional storage space is almost hidden from view.

Work space is easily incorporated into the living area as well. Steel grey walls with a white glossy storage unit, recessed lighting, with shelving for plants and natural light, creates a perfect at home working cul de sac. It’s doable, sensible, and works with the entire décor of the living space.

There are minute splashes of luminous color. For example, the wall art in the work space displays a gorgeous rich lemon shade along with green foliage, which adds just the right amount of additional color without betraying the color scheme of the décor.

The space is made more modern by using traditional shapes, such as the soft plush boxy sofa covered in neutral fabrics. Visual art remains subdued but impressive. Comfort is certainly a priority with modern design giving stylistic balance to conventional upholstered pieces. It’s just a real cool space to live in. It’s private but sociable, sophisticated but enthralling.
