Remodeling your powder rooms can turn them into elegant and fun rooms for guests. You only need to pay attention to design, color and style to completely change their appearance and theme. Here are some powder room ideas that will make your powder rooms serve with charm and grace.
Style: Powder rooms are great for taking chance with design because of their small size. You can use unusual materials or intense color which can overcome larger rooms. Look for your personal style and beautiful bathrooms in decorator show houses and bath or plumbing showrooms.
Color: Beige, sand and tan colors should not apply when looking for colors. Instead, go for chocolate, black, navy and merlot. You can however go for lighter colors if you want to play visual tricks and make the room feel bigger.
Accessories: Accessorize your powder rooms to make them hospitable. Provide little luxuries such as rich lotion and finely milled soaps for guests. You can also add wall art and arrange vignettes on the counter tops.
Image: The high natural light behind the toilet as well as the frosted glass in the door help fill this small powder room with natural light. The built-in bookcase is carved out of the underside of the stairs. The small salvage sink, wallpaper, antique soap dish, and repurposed snowshoe as the mirror help make this snug room quite elegant.
