House That Combines Industrial and Traditional Style
If you like the relaxed ambience of a traditionally decorated house but with modern and industrial touches, you should take a look at this home. The designers have combined several old ideas with modern industrial designs to create a warm and soothing atmosphere that helps you to relax. This could be a nice place to spend a short and refreshing holiday. Take a close look at several important sections of this home.
Living Area: The fireplace occupies a central portion in the living area. The color of the stone wall blends with that of the sofa. All the comfy chairs are arranged around the center piece that is positioned right in front of the fireplace. Industrial-style window blinds are used, instead of curtains, in the main living area and several other parts of the house.
Dining Area and Kitchen: Eight old-style dining chairs made of wood and fiber surround a well polished rectangular dining table. Three hanging industrial lighting fixtures provide light in the dining area after the sun goes down. The compact kitchen has a steel counter and cabinet. The sink has a long adjustable faucet similar to the ones you’ll find in an industrial laboratory.
Bedroom: This bedroom is extremely simple. Apart from natural light, only the bedside lamps provide light after sunset. The white bed sheets and pillow give a sharp contrast to the dark colored walls. The low lighting will definitely promote sound and refreshing sleep.
Bathroom: Here, you can see a carved wood sink resting on a suspended concrete slab. It reminds you of the origin of the modern bathroom sink. Industrial-style taps are used to deliver hot and cold water. Above the sink, you can see and an adjustable hanging lighting fixture that is commonly found in many old factories.
Indoor Pool: This home has a nice indoor swimming pool. This is a nice place to take a quick dip in the morning or evening.
Exterior View: The external view of this home shows the skillfully built stone walls and the attractive red roof. The scenic view of the house is enhanced by the relatively clear sky at sunset.
