This bright and spacious house by Anna Erman, has big windows and almost all walls painted white so it looks even bigger and brighter. It has one suite with private bathroom and dressing room, a all in-one kitchen-living-dinning room, a second bathroom and a covered balcony.
The interior design combines a minimal and modern loft-like distribution with some vintage elements and some furniture pieces made up of recycled materials which give it an authentic and artistic touch. While the main lighting appliances are cold and industrial type-like according to the modern interior design the selective accessories and furniture turn the space into a cosy home. Colors come with the details and decorative items which are carefully distributed throughout the different space.
The kitchen is opened to the living-dinning room and is provided with an original pallet and metal central piece to store dinnerware and a blue SMEG fridge combining the hand-made artistic feel with the 50’s retro highlight.
A colorful carpet breaks the white floor and serves as a separation between the kitchen and the living room, where a projector screen is hanged against a red brick wall. Wooden furniture, oriental decorative items and two vintage trunk contrast with the high-tech audiovisual installation.
The suite is all painted white, with white linen and cushions too, which makes it very luminous. It has an ethnic color pattern carpet and a few subtile diverse decoration elements. The dressing room follows the same patron all white painted with some thai figurines next to a small velvet art deco stool. It has a whole body mirror and a bar hanging from the ceiling to provide an open closet.
The two bathrooms mix the latest toilet and washbasin designs with rustic wooden closets or mirror frames. The bath for example is covered by white painted wooden planks.
Finally the balcony with a white painted brick wall has a single sofa-bed with a handful of colorful pattern cushions and wicker furniture pieces.
The house concept is all about combining different civilizations’ decorative items and finding a balance between modern cutting edge design and vintage retro or ethnic elements to bring joy and color to the white and clean spaces. This carefully chosen mixture of styles and elements makes it a very charming and interesting place and at the same time, the prominent white and minimal design of the rooms with the big windows and opened spaces provides a balancing and peaceful feeling.
